To all the fabulous supporters of MacTips: thank you. MacTips has now moved to a better hosting plan with a Virtual Private Server at $40 per month. We’ve also raised enough for excellent backup and anti-malware protection ($50 per month). I’m calling an end to the Make MacTips Happy month. Donations are still welcome to help cover running costs, but I’m going to stop actively fundraising.

Miraz’s contribution
I spend around 5 or 6 hours per week creating MacTips and looking after the website. That’s around 260 hours per year — an investment of about $26,000.
If each of the MacTips subscribers (about 1,900 as at April 2011) each contributed $1 that would cover the funding needs for a year.
