MacTips Learning Centre

Articles and tutorials about technology

The Learning Centre is moving

The MacTips.info domain hosts 3 separate sections: the TiKouka blog, the archive of free, weekly MacTips, and this Learning Centre.

While the Tips Archive is updated weekly, and the blog, covering topics of Macintosh, iPod, Internet, technology and sometimes astronomy is updated numerous times per week, this Learning Centre is a bit of a poor relation. Content overlaps with the Tips and TiKouka, and it’s hard for visitors to have to visit 3 separate parts of one site to find the information they want.

What’s more, some of the articles here are a bit dated. For example, the most popular post is about how to use iPhoto, but the article was written in late 2005 and explains iPhoto version 5. iPhoto is now at version 7, so the article is no longer as accurate and relevant as when I wrote it. Newer and more up-to-date information is available at the Tips Archive and on the blog.

I think it would benefit everyone to close down the Learning Centre and move articles to my Blog. I intend to leave redirects in place so anyone following an old link should still end up at the article they were seeking.

It’ll take me a while to move the articles across, so expect some weirdness in the interim.

About this Learning Centre

Read on for articles and tutorials about using the Internet, using a Mac and a whole lot of other topics. Please check back often — in fact, subscribe to the RSS feed and you’ll know when things have been added.

I encourage you to leave comments, and to bookmark articles on Del.icio.us, or even Digg them.

Make sure you also look at my Mac and Internet blog, TiKouka, the Mac Tips archive of more than 600 Tips, and maybe even my personal blog, Oddity 59.

If anything on the site seems broken please email me. I can’t provide helpdesk support though for the tutorials and articles, I’m afraid. — Miraz Jordan

Tune in with Twitter
