In spite of the name the Apple TV is not a TV

The Apple TV is a fairly simple device, though it has a misleading name: it’s not a TV. One thing it does well it to allow you to play music or videos from your Mac through a TV and sound system. You can also watch YouTube or download movies direct from iTunes and watch them on your TV.
