Leopard, Spaces and Desktop Pictures

by Miraz on April 3, 2008

One of the nicest things about Leopard’s Spaces is being able to press Control Arrow to slide everything out of the way and view an empty Space.

Thanks to Pic-a-Pod the desktop pictures on my MacBook are always gorgeous. When I’m working on a hard or annoying problem I just slide the work to one side for a moment and visit far away places for a rest. Ahhhhh.

MacTips group now on Facebook

by Miraz on November 28, 2007

I’ve just published the latest MacTip: Assign Applications to Leopard Spaces.

Spaces System Preference. Go to System Preferences > Exposé and Spaces > Spaces and look down to the Application Assignments section of the window.

Click the + sign to add an application. …

Notice the Every Space option. This is specially useful for something like System Preferences (listed in the Applications folder).

If an application is assigned to Every Space it ‘follows’ you around after it’s been opened, whichever Space you switch to.

I’d like to spread the reach of MacTips. Perhaps you can help?

Please tell others about the Tips: Digg them, add them to Delicious or other social bookmarking sites, blog about them, and maybe even join our newly formed Facebook group.
