Eudora Tip #213/03-March-2004
Command F

Swap the Find and Search keys in Eudora. Eudora Tips 32 to 36 in April and May 2000 covered finding messages in Eudora and looked at the difference between “Find” and “Search”. Find allows you to find text within one message, while Search allows you to find text within multiple messages across mailboxes.

Eudora assigns the keystrokes Command F to Find and Command Option F to Search.

I seldom want to find text within one message but often want to search for one message within one or more mailboxes. Holding down the Option key along with Command F is a bit of a nuisance.

Eudora Settings to the rescue! In the Moving Around section I checked the item marked “Exchange Find and Search menu command keys”. See the settings screenshot.

Now to search I use Command F and to find I use Command Option F.
