Greetings Eudora Tips Subscriber,

at the end of 2003 regular transmission was interrupted. I believe the last four Tips I sent weren’t received. What was worse was that I was so overwhelmingly busy I didn’t realise this until I’d stopped for my summer break.

For the last three years Glenn Anderson of the Eudora Internet Mail Server has very kindly hosted the Tips list and I’m extremely grateful. Without his help we wouldn’t have had a list at all.

Now, however, I’m in a position to host the list myself and I’ve taken the opportunity of the break to make a number of changes.

The Archive remains at the same address.

I’ve decided to change the copyright of the Tips to a Creative Commons Licence which allows you to use the Tips in a non-commercial way or to improve on them.

I welcome comments on the Tips, provided you make the comments at the Archive, where others can also respond. I’m afraid I can’t offer individual help or troubleshooting, except to my fee-paying clients.

I very much appreciate all the helpful comments and suggestions that a number of you have sent in. Please feel free to contribute towards the Tips. They are much more effective as a group effort. Let me know if you’d like to write any Tips.

Because it seems the last four Tips were never sent I’ll be re-sending them over the next four weeks. My apologies if you have already seen them.

This should be the last communication from this version of the list. The next message should be from the new server inviting you to subscribe. I could have subscribed you automatically, but I think this is a good opportunity for you to ensure all details are correct. I prefer it that you have to opt-in.

As we enter the fifth year of Eudora Tips I hope to see you all subscribe to the new server, and please, bring a friend or two.
