Eudora Tip #207/26-Nov-2003
Choosing a Browser
Way back in Tip 16, Clickable Links — Changing the Browser I mentioned using the Option key to allow you to choose which browser you wanted to open links you click while in Eudora.
Unfortunately Apple have made a big change with Panther and that technique no longer works.
Nowadays the browser of choice is set via the Internet Preferences pane in System Preferences (Jaguar) or via the Safari preferences in Panther.
If you want to set a browser for Eudora in Panther you need to open Safari. Go to the the Safari menu and choose Preferences. Click on the General tab and under Default Web Browser choose your preferred browser from the pop-up. Then close the Preferences window.
You should now find that when you click a link in a Eudora message your preferred browser will open up and take you to that link.
