Print a List of Addresses

One of my clients likes to travel. While away she visits Internet Cafes to send and receive email. Although she could use an online address book some of the Internet connections are very slow and expensive and she prefers to print out her Eudora Address Book to keep it in her bag.

However, if you simply go to the Address book and choose Print you end up with an enormous document full of information. My own address list produced a 37 page PDF with heaps of unwanted information and a lot of wasted space.

So, here’s how to get a simple list, just of email addresses. Call up Eudora’s Address Book from the Window menu and click once on the specific Address list you wish to print. Now choose Copy from the Edit menu.

Switch to your preferred text editor or word processor and choose Paste.

I found the addresses were all run together simply separated by a comma so I then did a quick find and replace looking for comma and replacing with a carriage return.

Edit as you choose and then print. Note that in MS Word you could choose to set it to two or three columns to really cram the addresses into one sheet.

Using this method my 37 page PDF became one printed sheet of paper. Much easier to fit in the pocket!
