A couple of ways to set Dekstop Pictures in Mac OS X.

Mac Tip #18/29-Aug-2001 Desktop Pictures explained how to use your own pictures for an attractive desktop in OS 9. Here’s one way to do it in Mac OS X.

If you have iPhoto 2, make an Album of your favourite pictures. Select the Album and click on the Organize button in the row of buttons below the pictures in the window. Then click the Desktop button. Make your choices from the settings in the System Preferences which appear (see below).

Here’s another approach: make a folder of your favourite pictures. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu and choose Desktop. From the Collection pop-up choose your folder of images and set the settings for Change Picture and whether they should appear in Random order.
