Veronica’s not the first to find phantom addresses on the Recipient List; this question pops up on the Eudora mailing list quite often.

One of the ways to deal with this is to rebuild the Address Book.

Eudora Tech Support recommends that you hold down the Option key while you choose Address Book from the Window menu. That should get rid of the phantom recipients.
