My reply: Just use the normal resize area in the bottom right of the window. If the window’s wide you can also drag the vertical divider between Nickname list and right side to make that area narrower or wider.

Larry responded that he’d done that so I suggested this: If I uncheck Tabs on the Window menu while the Address Book’s open I can then use the small b&w button to the right of the Bcc button to close the right-hand side. That gives me 200 pixels wide by 400 pixels high.
