Importing from Outlook Express
Eudora Tip #159/04-Dec-2002
Very recent versions of Eudora make it easy for you to switch from using Outlook Express to Eudora. If you have saved emails, addresses etc in Outlook Express then go to the File Menu in Eudora and choose Import Mail …
This brings up a dialog box allowing you to choose to import from Claris Emailer or Outlook Express 5. You can also choose to search your computer for an email application.
Once Eudora finds one or more Outlook Express “identities” it will present you with the list. You choose the one you wish to import and click Import Account. You can then choose which items to bring in: Settings, Mailboxes, Address Book, Signatures. Finally you click OK and Eudora creates a new folder in your list of Mailboxes. That folder contains all the imported mail. You can now refile that into whatever mailboxes you choose.
Similarly, the Address Book now contains a Book of imported Addresses and any custom signatures have also been imported.
It’s all just too easy really.
Importing from Entourage is a little harder, but can readily be done. However, that’s a subject for a different Tip.

Eudora Tip #160/11-Dec-2002 Importing from Entourage.
Iit’s not that easy. In fact, the folders that came up in Eudora under System 10 were empty of all mail.
