Eudora Filter Report
Eudora Tip #136/04-June-2002
So you’ve set up all kinds of filters and now your incoming mail shoots off in a hundred directions without your even lifting a finger. But does it all seem just a little too smooth, a bit too out of control? What’s really going on?
For those who like to keep tabs on these things try <x-eudora-setting:128=y> (See Tip 62).
This setting causes Eudora to generate a Filter Report which shows up in a window just like a message window. Now you can see such gems as:
08:05 Messages have been filtered into the following mailboxes:
spam junk 16
sundry newsletters 3
cna website 2
accessibility forum 6
webdes-l 13
eudora list 10
css-discuss 4
This tells me (among other things) that at 8:05 am 16 messages were filtered into a mailbox called “spam junk”.
And if I want to see those messages I can just double click the name of the mailbox in the report and it will take me straight there.
