Attachments Drag and Drop
Eudora Tip #126/27-Mar-2002

Email attachments are a huge source of bother for many people, but, as usual, Eudora makes life easier for us.

If you have a properly prepared file which you want to attach to a message then there are several ways to do it.

First make a new message and enter all the information you need: address, subject, message body etc, then you can just drag the attachment into the message.

One of two things will happen (in newer versions of Eudora).

In some cases an icon for the attachment will now appear in the Attachments line. This will happen if you drag a wordprocessing document, spreadsheet, PDF or similar file.

Alternatively, the attachment might go into the body of the message. This might happen if you drag it onto the body, rather than the heading area and if it’s a picture, sound or movie which can be displayed within the email message (under certain circumstances).
