Email “Me”
Eudora Tip #111/12-Dec-2001
Often times you want to send yourself an email. Maybe you want to try out that dashing new sig, see if you can include a picture inside a message, test if your email’s working.
And maybe you go on up to the To: field and carefully type in your own address. Or perhaps you’re a whizz with copy and paste so you do it that way.
Or just maybe you type Me in the To: field and watch it expand to your own address.
Of course you can type Me in the Cc: or Bcc: field if you like. Whichever field you choose, Me will change to your own email address.
Some things to watch out for:
If you have a nickname in your address book beginning with Me then Eudora will probably offer that as an expansion. You’ll suddenly have Melanie in the address field instead of Me. Just delete anything after Me and when you Tab down to the Subject field you’ll find your own email address shows up.
If you have more than one “Personality” then Me will expand to the address for the personality the email is set to come from at the time when you enter Me in the address field.
