Top to Bottom or Bottom to Top?
Mac Tip #15/08-Aug-2001
In Tip 14 we looked at viewing a window by icon or as a list.
A lot of my clients complain to me that their list of files, sorted in alphabetical order, is upside down: files starting with Z are at the top of the list and those starting with A are at the bottom. They would prefer it to be the other way round.
That’s easy to fix, if you know where to look. And where to look is the top right corner of the window. Up there you’ll see a little triangle, which will be pointing down or up.
If it’s pointing down, the files will be sorted in reverse order (oldest date or name beginning with Z at the top). If the triangle points up then it will be oldest at the bottom / A at the top.
Just click once on the triangle to switch between normal order and reverse order.
