Close multiple windows
Mac Tip #01/02-May-2001

The Option key is a good friend to a Mac user and can help us do all kinds of astonishing things.

Next time you have a lot of Finder windows open and need to close them all, don’t keep clicking the close box on each one. Just hold down the Option key while you click the Close box on any one window.

All the open windows will close and you now have an instantly tidy computer!

Bonus Tip: try the Option key when closing application windows too. In Eudora, Internet Explorer and AppleWorks for example, all open windows will close.
