Eudora Tip #75/04-Apr-2001
While I enjoy finding out Tips and sending them on to others I’m not the Eudora expert some of my subscribers seem to think I am. We can all learn a lot from various sources. Here are some online sources I use:
Eudora Help—look in the Menu bar for the Help item. There are extensive instructions here.
Balloon Help—in most programs this is simply annoying but Eudora makes good use of the help balloons. Go to the Help menu and turn on Balloon Help, then move your mouse around Eudora’s screen.
The Eudora website offers a 6Mb downloadable User Manual, a FAQ page, and a facility to search the support materials, as well as some online tutorials. http://www.eudora.com
Eudora Tech Support is available to paid users. Check the Help Menu item Questions or Problems before emailing tech support. I’ve emailed a couple of times and first you receive an automated message with instructions about where to look to see if your question has already been answered. If you check those sources and still need help then you can resend your message and a human being will attend to it. eudora-support@qualcomm.com
Newsgroups often have a wealth of information. Many people ask and answer questions at news:comp.mac.eudora
Mailing lists are invaluable. There are two key but similarly named mailing lists:
To subscribe to the Eudora-for-the-Mac list send any e-mail to
eudora-mac-on@wso.williams.edu
To subscribe to the Eudora-Mac Mailing List, send any e-mail message
