Where Are You?
Eudora Tip #34/11 May-2000
When the Search window first comes up it is set to search Anywhere Contains the text you type. You can narrow this down though in several ways.
Click and hold on the word Anywhere and you’ll see a popup menu offering several choices. If you know what you’re looking for is the name of the sender, or perhaps part of the Subject or you’re looking for a particular date, then you can choose those settings.
Or maybe you’d like to find all messages which had an attachment called something “.doc” (ie they were MS Word files). Set the first popup to Attachment Name(s) and the centre popup to Ends With and in the text entry area type .doc.
By combining these various options you have enormous flexibility in your searches.
